We focus a lot of attention on electrification and decarbonizing the electric grid, but it is only one piece of the decarbonization challenge.
Oakville, Ontario, Canada – August 31, 2022 –Terrestrial Energy has completed an evaluation of its Integral Molten Salt Reactor’s (IMSR®) nuclear material safeguards in collaboration with the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) with support from CNL’s Canadian Nuclear Research Initiative (CNRI).
“Safeguards” is an international regulatory framework administered in Canada by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and is verified by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under international treaty arrangements.
Agreement aims to accelerate deployment of IMSR® Generation IV nuclear plants for industrial, chemical and petrochemical applications
Oakville, Ontario, July 19, 2022 – Terrestrial Energy and DL E&C have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to cooperate in the development and accelerated deployment of the IMSR® cogeneration plant in the industrial sector.
DL E&C is a recognized leading global engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor and a Korean pioneer into global markets with a long track record of successful international projects.
KBR and Terrestrial Energy Agree to Collaborate on the Application of Zero-Emissions Thermal Energy for Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Production
Oxford, United Kingdom, June 9, 2022 – Terrestrial Energy announced today that it has signed an agreement with KBR to investigate the application of zero-emission thermal energy for hydrogen and ammonia production.

Sydney, Australia and Oakville, Ontario, Canada, February 2, 2022 – ANSTO, Australia’s knowledge centre for nuclear science and technology, and Terrestrial Energy have agreed to explore ANSTO Synroc® (synthetic rock) proprietary waste treatment technology for used fuel management.
Under the agreement, ANSTO will provide technical consulting services to Terrestrial Energy for the conditioning of used reactor fuel from the operation of Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR®) heat and power plants in Canada, United Kingdom, United States, and other global markets.
Oakville, Ontario, Canada – November 30, 2021 – Terrestrial Energy and Siemens Energy Canada have signed a contract for the manufacturing and supply of steam turbines and other balance-of-plant equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and motor drive systems, for the Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR®), a Generation IV nuclear power plant.
The IMSR® generates steam for power generation at standard utility class temperature and pressure, and from systems that are isolated from its nuclear reactor.

There was some familiarity in the cycle of hope and disappointment we have grown used to at the UN climate meetings known as COP, but one thing was very different at COP26 in Glasgow – nuclear energy finally took its seat at the table.
Nuclear energy’s presence at COP26 came as a double whammy.
Oakville, Ontario – October 26, 2021 – Terrestrial Energy has awarded BWXT Canada Ltd. engineering design contracts for steam generators and heat exchangers for use in the Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR®), a Generation IV nuclear power plant.
Terrestrial Energy and Orano Sign Comprehensive Agreement for Nuclear Fuel Supply for IMSR Power Plant
Bethesda, Maryland, and Oakville, Ontario – September 29, 2021 – Terrestrial Energy has entered into an agreement with Orano, a global leader in the nuclear fuel cycle, as part of its fuel supply program for operation of the Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR®), a Generation IV “next-generation” nuclear power plant.
The agreement’s broad scope of services includes uranium enrichment, chemical conversion to IMSR® fuel form, its production, transportation, packaging, and logistics.
