2020 UN Climate Change Conference – COP 26

The United Nations Climate Change Conferences are yearly conferences held in the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The 26th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 26) to the UNFCCC is scheduled to take place from November 9-19, 2020, in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

USNIC Advanced Reactors Summit VII and Showcase

The United States Nuclear Industry Council (USNIC) is the hosting Propelling the Next Generation for Advanced Nuclear Energy, this year’s Advanced Reactors Summit VII and Showcase taking place in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The Atomic Wings program plans to feature students from the University of Tennessee as well as rising early career representatives from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TVA and the greater Knoxville community.

Cleantech Forum San Francisco

At this year’s Cleantech Forum San Francisco, Terrestrial Energy is co-hosting the panel discussion, Time to be Inclusive and Pragmatic Before It’s Too Late: Advanced nuclear technologies must be a significant part of the solution set. The discussion takes place January 28 from 2:45 – 3:45 PM.

International Conference on Climate Change and the Role of Nuclear Power

Terrestrial Energy is exhibiting at the International Conference on Climate Change and the Role of Nuclear Power, taking place October 7-11 in Vienna, Austria.

This conference is organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in cooperation with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA).

“Climate change is one of the most important issues the world is facing today. Nuclear power can make a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, while at the same time fulfilling the increasing energy demands of a growing world population and supporting global sustainable development,” said the IAEA on its website.
