POWER magazine: Demonstration Advances to Produce Hydrogen Using Molten Salt Reactor Nuclear Technology
Terrestrial Energy USA Partners with Leading Energy Company, National Labs to Produce Economical, Clean Hydrogen with Generation IV Nuclear Energy
NEW YORK, September 5, 2018 – Terrestrial Energy USA, a leading U.S. nuclear technology company developing the generation IV Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR®) power plant, has partnered with Southern Company, a nationally recognized energy company, and several U.S.
EPRI’s findings suggest that for advanced nuclear to be deployed extensively in the US, new policies, innovation in technologies that significantly lower costs, and/or innovation in business models and markets to enable supplemental revenue streams, would be needed.
Terrestrial Energy is pleased to be taking part in the GLOBE Forum 2018, alongside global business, government, and civil society leaders.
Read the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Advanced Reactors Information System (ARIS) status report on Terrestrial Energy’s IMSR®.
Article in the journal Sustainability posits that timely deployment of advanced nuclear like the IMSR®—”perfectly capable of providing all the energy humanity needs for centuries”—could be the silver bullet needed for achieving aggressive Paris climate targets.
On November 30, 2017, Terrestrial Energy CEO Simon Irish explained why nuclear will be a clean energy solution to climate change at The New York Times’s 2017 ClimateTECH conference, with Lisa Friedman and Michael Shellenberger.
