Terrestrial Energy USA Ltd. Awarded Gain Voucher By United States Department Of Energy

NEW YORK, NY – June 14th, 2016 – Terrestrial Energy USA Ltd, a developer of next-generation nuclear power plants, has been awarded a grant by US Department of Energy – Nuclear Energy (DOE-NE) under the Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear Program voucher inititive known as “GAIN”. The GAIN voucher will be used to verify thermophysical properties of molten salts with work performed at the US Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory (ANL).

DOE-NE’s mission is to advance nuclear power as a resource capable of meeting the nation’s energy, environmental and national security needs by resolving technical, cost, safety, proliferation resistance, and security barriers through research, development and demonstration.

The goal of the GAIN program is to assist new entrants into the nuclear field as they build the collaborations necessary to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative nuclear technologies by granting them access to the extensive nuclear research capabilities available at DOE’s national laboratories and Nuclear Science User Facilities (NSUF) partners.
